| Abstract: | The synthesis and identification as well as tne fundamental properties of a new reagent 7-(2'-arseno -5- carboxy) benzene azo-8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid (5-CarAsA-8Q5S) are described. Also in this paper, a new fluorimetric method has been developed for the determination of beryllium with this reagent. The method has been used to determineberyllium in water samples and artificially-synthesizedcopper alloys with satisfactory results. |
