Abstract: | Demands for label free chemical characterisation in ambient conditions are ever increasing. Only a handful of ambient techniques can provide chemical and structural information with sub micrometre spatial resolution. Raman scattering is a promising method for surface and nanoanalysis for micro- to nanometre length scale characterisation. This article gives an overview of the emerging Raman scattering tools, current state of the art, applications and standardisation requirement for the techniques. |
