| Abstract: | This paper gives a brief historical view of the origin, development, and application of the comparison macroscope, within the field of criminal technique. The background for developing a new comparison macroscope as well as the requirements for it are explained, and a decription is given of how the requirements were fulfilled. Finally the technical data for the new comparison macroscope and some applications are given. |
