Improvements that facilitate the operation of the Corinth 275 electron microscope

Details are given of modifications to the Corinth 275 electron microscope providing illumination of the magnification scale and locking of the astigmatism controls. The construction of a loading jig suitable for use with specimen rods of this microscope is described. Operational procedures that allow accurate setting of filament height and centering and also give some compensatory correction of condenser astigmatism are discussed.
