| Abstract: | This publication shows the synthesis of the water‐borne removable pressure‐sensitive adhesive (PSA) based on acrylates and the influence of parameters such as internal emulsifiers on peel adhesion on steel and also the influence of N‐methylol acrylamide and plasticizers on peel adhesion on glass, poly(vinyl chloride), and polypropylene during aging time. Removable and repositionable pressure‐sensitive adhesives based on acrylic polymers are used for the production of removable memo notes, paper and foil labels, double‐sided tapes, carrier‐free tapes to protective films, and manufacturing aids. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
