| Abstract: | This paper presents the principle and equipment of the liquid honing for spray bore of diesel engines. With honing, the sharp corner of the spray bore can be rounded off and the bore size precision can be improved. Probability analysis of the measurement has been done. After honing, the fuel flow capability in the spray bore has been increased, and the standard deviation is considerably reduced. As a result, better diesel performance has been obtained. |
