Abstract: | In this work, we apply the Green and Naghdi generalized thermoelasticity theory to a one-dimensional problem of distribution of thermal stresses and temperature in a generalized thermoelastic medium in the form of a spherical shell subjected to sudden change in the temperature of its external boundary. The results are compared to the generalized thermoelasticity theory with one relaxation time. Numerical results are computed and represented graphically for temperature, displacement, and stress distributions. |
