House in Grandola

The Alentejo, a region in southern Portuga stretching from the Atlantic coast to the Spanish border, is a sparsely populated, semi-arid landscape of olive trees, cork oaks and broad fields of sunflowers. This single-storey courtyard house nestles unobtrusively in this harsh setting. The house is one of a group of four to be built over the coming years, the exact position of each house being determined by the respective owners.
