Abstract:An analysis of superior joint group for roadway excavation in a gold mine in Shandong Province and the optimization of a smooth blasting scheme design were presented. The surrounding rock was scanned and analyzed with ShapeMetrix 3D for its joints, and then ranked in terms of its stability based on the fractal theory. The spiral cutting and 10-segment initiation network were used in the blasting operation, and the scheme design was optimized based on the verification results of field tests. The optimized parameters were analyzed according to the volume rule, and the influence of blasting vibration on surface buildings was estimated with the help of Sadaovsk formula. The results show that the blast hole utilization rate of the optimized scheme has been increased from 85% to more than 90%; for an increase of 0.1 m in the footage per cycle, the actual consumption of explosives has been reduced from 2.69 kg/m3 to 2.39 kg/m3; the formed roadway is in a good state almost without over-excavation and under-excavation; the blasting vibration is at a speed of 1.90 cm/s, which complies with safety regulations and on-site construction conditions. This design provides a reference basis in the blast design for the similar mine tunnels.
