| 摘 要： | 文章总结了科技英语新词的主要构词特点,并从认知语言学的角度对这些新词的特点进行了分析。指出大量科技英语新词的产生都体现出一定的认知规律,特别是隐喻思维;认知语言学理论为旧词如何获得新义提供了一种新的解释。

| Abstract: | On the basis of a summary of the features of newly-coined words in EST, this paper renders an analysis into these features from a cognitive perspective. It is indicated that the coinage of the new words in EST conforms to certain cognitive regularities, especially to metaphorization. Therefore, cognitive linguistics offers a valuable explanation of the semantic shift process. |
