Abstract: | Tropaeolum speciosum seed fat contains 41.6 wt %cis-15-tetracosenoic acid and 7.6 wt %cis-17-hexacosenoic acid. Unlike nasturtium seed fat (Tropaeolum majus), the 22∶1, 24∶1 and 26∶1 inT. speciosum triglycerides are almost entirely esterified at the 1,3 positions. |
