Mobile Edge Computing: Security Issues and Research Recommendations

Mobile edge computing is an emerging computing model that extends cloud computing and services to the edge of the network. Due to the nature of interoperability, dispersion and distribution of mobile edge computing, there are more contents and challenges to its security. However, the issue of mobile edge computing’s security has not been well studied. Firstly, the infrastructure and technical characteristics of mobile edge computing are analyzed. Secondly, the security threats faced by mobile edge computing are elaborated from the overall perspective. The difficulties of protecting mobile edge computing security are analyzed in depth. Thirdly, the research recommendations for mobile edge computing are put forward. The results of this research would help promote broader security research in the field of mobile edge computing and show the way to relevant research.
