Application of XML Technique to Computer Image Processing

With the developments in XML technique, application of XML technique has become wider and wider. This paper introduces the history of XML technique, points out the advantages of XML technique in comparison of XML with HTML. A preliminary plan of indexing image file and retrieval of image resource was given by an example. The marking of the image object based on XML is mainly implemented by the SVG. Finally we introduce how to combine the XML and technique of SVG, to carry out SVG programming and show the huge advantage of SVG technique in display of network image. Thus we explain further the application of XML technique in the computer image processing and show that it has a prospect of further development.
