Mediation in therapist–client sex: A model.
Authors:Bouhoutsos, Jacqueline C.   Brodsky, Annette M.
Abstract:Presents a case study of a mediation intervention to deal with psychological damage resulting from therapist–patient sexual interaction. The case involved a female patient who had been sexually intimate with her therapist (a minister) and was angered that her presenting problem (sexually abusive incest) was unresolved and exacerbated by therapy. The session was successful in that both participants dealt with unresolved feelings and were able to resume their lives. (9 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved)
