| Abstract: | The upward continuation of potential field can be induced to determine the function u for satisfying the Laplace eguation; within the region on the surfacein other boundariesWhat the authors presented in this paper includes the principle and numerical calculation procedures of upward continuation of potential field using the boundary elemeent method. Also taking gravity upward continution asanexample,calculation is made for both theoretical model data and observed data. The result of whichindes that the bundary element method should be considered as a workable-proven approach for numerical calculation in terms of the upward continuation of potential field. |
