Electronically tuned synchronously pumped dye laser

We have demonstrated electronically tunable pulses as short as 1.3 ps with a tuning rate of 150 Å/kV using a synchronously pumped rhodamine dye laser. Electronically tunable transform limited pulses of 5 ps duration have also been produced.
