基于天气雷达数据的强对流天气自动识别系统

摘    要:借鉴WSR-88D中SCIT算法,并针对强对流天气的特征,研制了基于雷达数据的强对流天气自动识别系统。利用2008-04-07温州、泰顺的一次冰雹过程的多普勒天气雷达数据对该系统进行试验,结果表明该系统能够合理地对灾害性天气现象进行分类,其强对流天气识别的效果和METSTAR软件识别结果基本一致,且较METSTAR软件更具灵活性和可扩展性。目前该系统已经业务化应用,在强对流天气的预警方面起到了较好的作用。

Abstract:The severe convective weather automatic identification system of Doppler weather radar is designed based on the SCIT algorithm of WSR-88 Dand convective weather characteristics.The system is tested using observation data of the hail process happened in Wenzhou and Taishun on April 7th,2008.The results show that the system can classify the severe weather phenomena reasonably.Both the system and METSTAR software almost have the same effect in convective weather application.Moreover,the former is more flexibility and scalability.At present,the application of the system has been widely used that played a good role in the strong convective weather warning.
