| Abstract: | In this paper, the important role of HFC CATV networks in the development of broadband integrated informatlon network and Information highway is pointed out, and the bidirectional communlcation capability as one of the key problems of HFC access network is brought out. One subscriber traffic model and dynamic channel allocation policy in coaxial networks is discussed. The simulation results of CSMA/CD deployed as the method of subscriber access and dynamic channel allocation are presented. |
