| Abstract: | Land application of municipal sludge was one of the effective ways to utilize municipal sludge.However,the promotion of this use pattern was hampered by the concerns that the heavy metals in municipal sludge would cause secondary pollution of the soil.Soil pollution caused by the heavy metals in municipal sludge caused was not only related to the total amount of heavy metals,but also determined by the chemical forms of heavy metals.The contents and chemical forms of heavy metals in municipal sludge and compost products were analyzed,and the accumulation of heavy metals in soil and crop after land application of sludge and compost products was discussed.The research findings would be helpful to the safety assessment of land application of municipal sludge. |
