Abstract:The structures of membranes plasma-polymerized trimethylvinylsi-lane (VTMS), dimethylvinylethoxysilane (DMVEOS) and vinyltriethoxysilane(VTEOS) were investigated by IR and XPS. The substituent effects of ethoxy groupswere studied on the chemical composition and properties of plasma polymers. Suchdifferences in chemical compositions reflected on surface energy and gas permeabilityof the plasma films.
