| Abstract: | In this paper, a comprehensive review is given of surface-texture measurement methods, characterisation of surfaces, surface
finish and machine-condition monitoring using surface-texture information. A comparative evaluation of surface-texture modelling
is provided. Directions in the areas of surface-texture research are also identified. |
