Pay Special Attention to the Development of the Building Science and Technology

This paper illustrates the importance of the building science and technology from the angle of the strategy of sustainable development and the improvement in the quality of human habitat. It analyses problems like lack of fund, intelligence, attention, communication and continuity; the limitations in the legal system; the inability to give fair evaluation to academic achievement and the inability to POpularize the achievement in time. As a relatively younger branch of architecture, the building technology science is the result of the intermingling of traditional architecture with other sciences (physics, computer science, information science, ecological and environmental sciences etc. ). It is also one of the most active fields for research. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the development of the science of building technology.
