JPEG2000压缩标准中小波基的选择

摘    要:从数字图像压缩编码系统中小波基选择的几个指标出发,对这些选择指标进行了详细的讨论,阐述了这些选择指标之问的关系和对数字图像压缩性能的影响。基于这些选择指标对基于人眼视觉特性构造的新型小波基(V9/3)和Daubechies9/7小波基进行比较,结果表明前者的压缩性能要优于后者,采用前者进行数字图像压缩时,重建图像具有更好的视觉效果,而且可以显著减少小波变换的计算复杂性。

Abstract:The paper presents a set of choice guidelines of wavelet base and discusses the wavelet base choice guideline in detail based in digital image compression and interpreting impacts and relations of these choice guideline to performance of digital image compression. Then it compares the new wavelet base V9/3 that constructed using human visual system(HVS) and Daubechies9/7 wavelet base according to these choice guidelines. The comparing results display the compression performance of V9/3 wavelet is superior to that of Daubechies9/7 wavelet. Using V9/3 wavelet base, better visual effect can be got and the computation complexity of wavelet transform distinctly in digital image compression can be decreased.
