Current situation and development trend of China's non-genetically modified soybean oil

China is the birthplace of soybean that the planting history dates back more than 5 000 years. Soybean oil is one of the main edible oils in people＇s living in China especially in the north. Its main producing areas are the northeast provinces and East China, North China, north- west and south central regions. It is sold all over China and remains at about 40% in the edible oil. Non-GMO concept has become a new focus of attention that brings more and more the favour of consumers for non-GMO soybean oil. Non-GMO soybean has oil unique flavor, nutritional characteristics, diversified development, as well as the excellent product and market premium, will be one of the important factors promoting the benign development of non-GMO soybean in- dustrial chain.
