| Abstract: | D-amino acid oxidase is the prototype of flavin-dependent oxidases. The recent resolution of its 3D structure has provided an explanation for several of its properties and has led to a substantial revision of the mechanism of D-amino acid dehydrogenation, with significant implications for the general understanding of flavin-dependent catalysis. |
