Design Tactics for Mountainous Cities in Western China Taking the Main District of Chongqing as Example

Ecological and land resources are key factors that restrict the development of mountainous cities in western China, but they also provide them with opportunities in seeking of new modes for city development. Integration, as an effective tactic for making full use of resources, could both exert resource advantages and lower resource consumption of the mountainous cities to the greatest extent, at the same time preserve and hand on the regional characteristics of the cities.The tactics, therefore, is of exceptional significance in the research and practice in mountainous cities design.
