| Abstract: | The paper discusses methods for calculating reliability of a continuous miningsystem in a surface coal mine in order to estimate accurately its annual effectiveworking hours,which providcs a basis for selecting equipment of a bucket wheelexcavator system.The calculation for a continuous mining system in Yuanbaoshansurface coal mine indicates that the bucket-wheel excavators selected can not satisfythe designed annual output,and suggestions for improvement are made. |
