On Reduction of Collision Time with "Collision Pre-Detection" Method

The well known method for reduction of collision time, CSMA/ CD (Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection) method, still appears to the author to be not sufficiently effective in the case of radio channel. This deficiency is believed to be overcome by the method presented by the author in this paper. After a careful and extensive search in the open literature, the author has not found any paper that proposes the new idea in this paper. This new idea is: a very short message is first scut before scuding the regular message, thus much time required for scuding the regular message imopportunely can be saved. Based on this new idea, the author derives eq. (10), which makes possible the calculation of utilization of channel. The author computes utilization for four different cases and presents the computed results in the convenient form of curves shown in fig.3. Simulation results show that authors new idea is promising for engineering application.
