摘    要:本文简要介绍了LED显示技术的发展历史,分析器应用现状,并对发展前景做出展望,提出了一种LED显示屏与嵌入式操作系统相结合、应用于交通诱导领域的高速公路情报板系统,系统采用LED显示屏+ARM+FPGA架构。ARM作为主处理器负责整个系统的控制和通讯,作为其处理核心部分的动画显示过程采用软件解码,达到与硬件完全隔离,具有良好的可移植性。FPGA主要接收由ARM传入的视频数据并实现LED显示屏的刷新显示。该系统可通过串口、网络、GPRS与上位机进行实时通信,具有良好的操控性能,与工控机异步系统相比,具有低功耗、高可靠性、成本低的特点。

Abstract:This paper mainly introduces the development history of LED technology, analysis the current situation and gives a respective study of its future. A new variable message sign (VMS) system which combines the LED screen with embedded operating system is proposed, it can be installed along both sides of the road and publish traffic flow guidance messages effectively. This system adopt a architecture of LED screen+ARM+FPGA. ARM controls the whole system and communication, it generates animations with software, so it has stronger portability. FPGA receives video data and displays on LED screen. This system can communicate effectively with supervisory computer via serial port, net, GPRS. Compared with IPC asynchronous LED system, this system has obvious superiority, such as less power consumption, lower cost and more reliability.
