| Abstract: | The dynamic and static current-voltage characteristics of the arcs in steel-melting furnaces are considered. The influence of the operation conditions of furnaces (arc current and length) on the currentvoltage characteristics is studied. An attempt of generalizing the controlling characteristics of furnaces with various capacities is made. |
