Abstract:This paper describes mean velocity, turbulence intensity, Reynolds stresses and co-spectra measured during field experiments. The data were obtained using orthogonal arrays of propeller anemometers mounted on a 20 m tower. Data were recorded only when the wind speed was ~ 10 m s?1 or higher, and the boundary layer was therefore assumed to be neutrally stable.Values of ?uw (0) calculated both by the eddy correlation technique and from the velocity profile were found to agree well, and also to agree well with values suggested in the literature review of Counihan 1].
