| Abstract: | Deformation of cylindrical rock samples is examined for the case of thriaxial compression. The mechanism of material strengthening based on the conception of slip and loosening with allowance for the initial anisotropy is established. The calculated values of shearing angle in failing correspond to the known experimental data. |
