Key Points of Building A Vehicle Video Surveillance System

The mobile video surveillance system for passenger transport/logistics is a direction of future telematics development. The system could monitor the status and track of those vehicles in system, collect audio and video informations and upload them to the system in realtime. These features are very important for the industries such as public traffic, traffic guidance, transport administration, bank escort, etc. This paper analyzes the mobile multimedia streaming issues from transmission efficiency and quality, introduces the organization of a vehicle video surveillance system, and explains some design notes of the system.
