| Abstract: | A new process is reported to produce ethylene glycol monoalkyl ether acetate(EGAA) which comprises reacting ethylene oxide and acetate by using aluminum halogenide and alkyl amine as the catalyst and promoter respectively. Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate(EGEA) produced by this method is chosen as an example to explain the process in details. |
