| Abstract: | The common corrosions of ammonia and methanol plants were introduced, such as sulfide corrosion, hydrogen corrosion, ammonia stress corrosion cracking (SCC) of carbon steel and pitting corrosion of steel. Proper materials should be selected based upon the specific process operating conditions to minimize the impact of different corrosion factors. |
