| Abstract: | The advantages and disadvantages of self-hardening sand such as furan resin, basic resin and new type sodiumsilicate bonded sand are introduced. Based on the results of high temperature property and gas evolution test, it is shown that the sodium silicate bonded sand is the best. Owing to the superiority on the casting quality, producing cost and environment protection, it can meet the process of cast steel. |
