Abstract: | A New Principle of Deodoration Deodoration, defined as removal (quenching) of odours, is accomplished by a combination of zinc ricinoleate and synergistic additives (?Grillocin”?). Such a preparation does not inhibit the growth of both bacteria and fungi and does not prevent perspiration. Hence this new directly acting preparation can be usefully employed in cosmetics. Experimental results indicate that the mechanism of action of Grillocin can be interpreted by assuming the formation of adducts of the clathrate type. |
