Discussion on the Relationship between Environmental Monitoring and Socio-economic Development

This paper introduces the relationship between the environmental monitoring and socio-economic development, and indicates that environmental monitoring services for the socio-economic development. Environmental monitoring has played a crucial role in environmental protection system, which provides the environment state, spatial and temporal distribution of contaminants,environmental trends and sudden pollution emergency monitor- ing and other information for environmental management and policy making departments. So strengthening envi- ronmental monitoring technology system modernization could provide a powerful guarantee to improve the accura- cy, representative and integrity of the environmental monitoring data.
