Discussed the rapid extraction method of DICOM medical image file.First of all,according to the structure characteristics of the data on DICOM standard,the data of DCM file is unpacked.And then,the unpacked data are encoded,according to the characteristics of DICOM image data,combining the thought of the run-length coding and block coding,in which file unpacking method can unpack the data of DICOM medical image data quickly,extract the most important image parameters and pixel data in medical image from the unpacked data.Therefore,the encoding method not only saves the memory space and improves transmission efficiency,but also can read the required single pixel,or some pixels data from the compressed data conveniently.
