The national standard Code for construction of concrete structures GB50666—2011 is developed for the first time,including General Provisions,Terms,Basic Requirements,Formwork,Reinforcement,Prestressed Concrete,Concrete Production and Transportation,Cast-in-situ Concrete,Precast Concrete,Construction in Cold,Hot and Rainy Weather,Environmental Protection and so on.The newly-developed national standard will be implemented from August 1,2012.This paper gives the general overview of Code for construction of concrete structures,including the application,layout of chapters,relations with other pertinent standards and documents for design,general requirements,main contents and technical highlights,and mandatory provisions within the code.
