Abstract:The spontaneous ignition processes of methanol and diesel fuels have been surveyed by means of optical-electrometry. Compared with diesel fuel, the spontaneous ignition process of methanol only has a single stage. The radiations of flames in both of them have been measured, then the flame temperature and KL coefficent are calculated in the light of two-color method. From the results, it was rev(?)aled that the flame of methanol has nothing of soot and brightness.
