Abstract: | Examined 252 7th, 9th, and 11th graders' evaluations of articles differing in sex association of field (masculine, feminine, or neutral) and sex of author. Results show that sex bias in the evaluation of performance is well established in boys and girls by the early years of adolescence, particularly in the devaluation of female achievements.
