紫外无线通信调制方式研究

摘    要:为了研究不同调制方式对数据传输速率和数据误码率等性能的影响,在紫外无线通信系统平台上,对比研究了二进制启闭键控(OOK)和脉冲位置调制(PPM)两种调制方式。该无线通信系统以深紫外LED作为光源传播信号,用光电倍增管探测微弱光信号,并用现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)对两种调制方式进行实验测试,实验结果表明:与OOK调制方式相比,在相同信噪环境中,PPM误码率更低,具有更好的鲁棒性以及更低的功耗。因此对于以紫外LED为光源的无线通信系统,PPM调制方式比OOK更加适合。

Abstract:In order to investigate the influences of different modulations,the OOK and PPM modulations based on the ultraviolet wireless communication system have been studied in this paper.In the system,a deep ultraviolet LED was used as a source while a PMT was used to detect the weak signals.Both modulation and demodulation were simulated and then implemented by FPGA.Experimental results indicate that the transmission efficiency of PPM is much less than that of OOK in ultraviolet wireless communication system which was based on a LED source.The advantages of PPM are low power consumption and anti inter-symbol interference capability which results in low bit error rate.Therefore,the PPM mode is more suitable than OOK mode for this system.
