| Abstract: | The limitations of BAN logic in public - key authentication protocol are illustrated through an example. The causes for the limitations are analyzed. The logic concept of "public" is instructed and an extensive BAN logic is proposed. And the effectiveness of the extensive BAN logic is verified through examples. |
