多媒体存储的自适应磁道复制

摘    要:提出将负载重的数据集中起来存储,并将这些数据在磁盘的多个地方进行复制,以减少寻道距离。讨论n-way自适应磁道复制和n-d-way自适应磁道复制,并进行了模拟试验,结果表明这些策略同仅仅将数据集中起来进行存储相比,能减少15%以上的寻道距离。

Abstract:This paper proposes an adaptive track replica placement in disk to decrease average disk seeking distance. The strategy is that, first it rearranges those blocks, which are accessed highly frequently, and replicates them in the disk surface. It disscusses n-way adaptive track replica and n-d-way adaptive track replica, and makes lots of simulations, the results show that these strategies can decrease over 15% disk seeking distance, compared with only block rearrangement strategy.
