Abstract: | This article responds to J. E. McGrath's (1997) integrative review of the small group literature and subsequent recommendations including the application of dynamical systems theory in group research. Parallels to the patterns and themes found in social psychology research are described from the therapeutic literature. Theoretical and methodological advantages of dynamical systems theory are noted. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) |
