Abstract: | The effect of rotating a 0.2Na2O·0.1CaO·0.7SiO2 glass sample during hydration was studied at 90°C using sputter-induced photon spectrometry (SIPS). Concentration-versus-depth profiles for hydrogen, sodium, and calcium were measured. The resulting depth profiles show an increase in hydralion depth and a change in profile shape as the rate of rotation was increased. |
