从虚拟现实的概念出发 ,分析了虚拟现实的四个基本特征 ,论述了虚拟现实涉及到的关键技术 .同时 ,从现在城市规划中的虚拟现实技术的应用出发 ,分析了现有技术的局限性 .并针对城市规划学科 ,扩充了虚拟现实技术的内容 .探讨了城市规划中最为烦琐的虚拟环境的建模问题 ,提出了虚拟环境中基本事物的建模手段和实现方法 (软件 ) .

Brief analysis of virtual reality technique and its application to urban planning

From the conception of virtual reality, its four basic features are analyzed; and the key techniques for virtual reality are discussed. At the same time, from the application of virtual reality techniques for modern urban planning, the limitations of the existing techniques are analyzed. And according to the urban planning, the contents of virtual reality techniques are extended. At last, the most troublesome modelling problem of the virtual environment in urban planning is discussed; and the modelling methods and the realizing ways(software) of the basic objects are introduced.
