Chemical Control of Main Pests on Tea Plant

t is an important measure for guaranteeing both quality and quantity of tea production that pests on tea plant are controlled with chemical pesticides. For economically and effectivelly controlling the pests with chemical pesticides on tea plant, optimum control techniques including optimum selecting and utilizing chemical pesticides and minimum volume spray have been recommonded over tea region in Zhejiang since 1980's. In the paper, damage characteristics, chemical control methods and spray techniques of main pests i. e. geometrids, tussock caterpillars, stinging caterpillars, tortrixes,leaf-hoppers, scales, white flies, weevils and mites on tea plant are reported.
