| Abstract: | A study has been made of the effect of superheating of the melt on the position of the  solidification plateau of tin. It is shown that crystallization occurs in a stepwise manner. An explanation is proposed in terms of coordinated atomic spheres, by the presence of short- and long-range bonds and their anisotropy.Translated from Izmeritel'naya Tekhnika, No. 6, pp. 46–48, June, 1993. |
